Official Ozark County records must come from the office that created or maintains them. The contacts below route court files to the Circuit Clerk and sheriff reports, bookings, and local registration questions to the Law Enforcement Center. This website is private and cannot retrieve or change a government record.

This Is Not a Government Office. Ozark County Criminal History is privately run. It cannot issue records, perform an official check, correct an agency file, or receive a Missouri expungement petition.

Need an Official Record?

Send each request to the custodian that holds the requested Ozark County material:

  • Sheriff reports, arrest records, bookings, and jail inquiries: Ozark County Sheriff's Office, Law Enforcement Center, HC 1 Box 8-1, Gainesville, MO 65655-9602; 417-679-4633; call to confirm the current physical delivery address and lobby hours
  • Missouri repository records and official state checks: Missouri State Highway Patrol Criminal Justice Information Services Division through MACHS or the current MSHP request process
  • Patrol-created incident reports: contact the Missouri State Highway Patrol, since the county sheriff cannot supply a report it did not create or receive
  • Missouri sex offender registration questions: call the Ozark County Sheriff's Office at 417-679-4633 for the current local reporting site, hours, and appointment rules
  • Expungement filings for an Ozark County case: use the current Missouri judiciary form and file through the Circuit Clerk; call 417-679-4232 for the present local filing total

The courthouse's general street address is 1 Court Square, Gainesville, MO 65655. Do not send a sheriff request there merely because it is the county address. Call 417-679-4633 first and ask the Sheriff's Office to confirm where and how the request should be delivered.
